The short story entitled “Sinigang” taught me the value of forgiveness. Every individual commits mistakes, and everyone deserves forgiveness if we sincerely asked for it. I know that it is hard to forgive knowing that, that painful thing will remain in your heart and mind. Life is not all about happiness, it is also about what you did to find that happiness you deserved. And just like Liza did, she forgave and chose to moved on. We must remember that when we forgive, we recover and grow as a person. Let us take time to make our soul happy.
The story left me a huge impact. Family will always be a family. It may not be perfect, but knowing the value of family made it perfect. “Sinigang” must have the right ingredients to make it savoury and pleasurable, as well as family. “There is no love without forgiveness, and there is no forgiveness without love”.
